PICKUP & DELIVERY POLICY

Artisan Buttercream LLC

Artisan Buttercream is a luxury, made-to-order cake studio located in Royal Oak, Michigan. All cakes and desserts are handcrafted specifically for each order and fulfilled through scheduled studio pickup or local delivery when available.

We do not offer nationwide shipping or traditional shipping services.

1. Order Preparation

All products are made fresh to order and require advance scheduling.

Our online shop generally requires a minimum of seven (7) days’ notice for orders. Availability is determined by our production calendar and may vary during holidays and periods of high demand.

Orders requested with less than seven days’ notice may be accommodated at our discretion and may be subject to additional fees.

Your selected fulfillment date must be confirmed through the online ordering process.

2. Studio Pickup

Studio pickup is available by appointment only at our Royal Oak, Michigan location.

Customers must select an available pickup date and time during checkout.

Standard Pickup Availability:

• Friday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Pickup availability may vary based on holidays, production schedules, and previously booked commitments.

Customers are responsible for arriving during their scheduled pickup window.

If you anticipate being late or unable to collect your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Alternative pickup arrangements are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

Orders may be collected by an authorized representative on your behalf.

Once an order has been collected, responsibility for its transportation, handling, and storage transfers to the customer or their designated representative.

3. Local Delivery

Local delivery may be available for select products within Metro Detroit and surrounding Southeast Michigan communities.

Delivery availability is determined by the destination, order size, production schedule, and existing commitments.

Delivery fees vary based on location and service requirements.

Local delivery is not automatically included with online purchases.

Delivery requests must be approved and confirmed by Artisan Buttercream before fulfillment.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring that the delivery location is accessible.

An authorized recipient must be available to accept the order unless alternative arrangements have been approved in writing.

Delivery times may be affected by traffic, weather, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays.

4. Missed Pickups and Unsuccessful Deliveries

Customers are responsible for collecting or receiving their orders on the scheduled fulfillment date.

If a customer misses their pickup appointment or is unavailable for an approved delivery, Artisan Buttercream will make reasonable efforts to discuss available alternatives.

However, rescheduling is not guaranteed.

Additional fees may apply for additional handling, storage, or delivery attempts.

Because our products are perishable, we cannot guarantee freshness or quality beyond the originally scheduled fulfillment date when delays are caused by customer circumstances.

Any refunds or cancellations are governed by our Return and Refund Policy and applicable law.

5. Transportation and Product Care

Cakes and desserts are delicate, temperature-sensitive products that require proper handling.

For customers collecting their orders, we recommend:

• Transporting cakes on a flat, stable surface inside an air-conditioned vehicle.
• Avoiding direct sunlight and excessive heat.
• Driving carefully and avoiding sudden stops or sharp turns.
• Following all refrigeration, storage, and serving instructions provided with the order.

Artisan Buttercream is not responsible for damage resulting from improper transportation, handling, or storage after the product has been transferred to the customer, except as otherwise required by law.

6. Changes to Pickup or Delivery Arrangements

Requests to change an order’s fulfillment date, pickup time, or delivery arrangements must be submitted in writing.

Changes are subject to availability and approval.

Additional fees may apply when changes require additional preparation, transportation, or scheduling adjustments.

Artisan Buttercream reserves the right to decline changes that cannot reasonably be accommodated.
